We have a number of ways that you can participate actively. All talks will be relatively short (15mins), and we will have breakout parallel sessions to facilitate discussions. informal, aimed at stimulating open discussion and broad involvement, which will be supported through use of a virtual GatherTown venue, in addition to Zoom.

Call for Contributions

We have are soliciting a number of ways that you can participate actively. These will be relatively informal, aimed at open discussion and broad involvement. We are particularly encouraging the short flash talks, as update of your work and variety of contributions to the Programme:

• 15-min Contributed Talks in the plenary session: e.g. scientific plans, follow-up programmes, maximising UK science gains from the Rubin LSST and other UK facilities 
• Parallel Sessions: we will provide either a Zoom room for talks or a space in GatherTown for discussion, and you arrange the rest.
• One-slide Presentations: to be presented as a 3-minute "flash talk" and/or as a poster in GatherTown.

The Call for Contributions page provides further details of how to propose one of these contributions. We hope that the range of contributions will allow everyone to participate in the meeting, and we particularly encourage attendees to provide a one-slide presentation (either for a flash talk or as a poster), as these will provide the opportunity for you to give an informal update on your work, advertising who you are and what you are planning . We hope these will inspire discussion in the breakout sessions.  

We hope that we can facilitate everyone who would like to give a talk, depending on demand.

Logistics

Meeting Points of Contact

For all LSST:UK meetings there are two Meeting Points of Contacts (typically, one female and one male)  to whom attendees may report any concerns they have regarding the behaviour of other attendees, given the LSST:UK Code of Conduct. They may be approached in person, or called via a Skype Number, which they will have redirected to forward to their own mobile phone for the duration of the meeting.
