QServ Discussions at IVOA in Shanghai

Notes following meetings we had with LSST team regarding qserv a the May 2017 IVOA Interop meeting in Shanghai

• QServ is not yet 100%, still needs work & bugfixing
  Certain queries may break the system (don't have more details on what/how yet)
  TAP Upload not possible yet
  
  
  

• They are looking into other open-source Distributed Database Technologies (Green Plum: http://greenplum.org/, Cyrus(?))
  
  
  

• MSSQL Server is not very likely for the back end DB, they're looking into PostgreSQL
