The 2017 PI Selection Round call for applications for LSST Affiliate PI status and for nominations for Junior Associate status closes at 17.00 on Monday , 3 24th October 2016 (TBC).

Applications for Affiliate PI status and nominations for Junior Associate status should be made by then using the online application forms linked below. Before doing so you should read the LSSTLSST:UK Policy for Selection of Affiliate PIs and Junior Associates (linked)Associates, which explains the selection process and the criteria that will be used by the Selection Committee. You should also read Articles 4 and 5 of the UK Memorandum of Agreement with LSST Corporation, which define the rights and responsibilities of Affiliate PIs and Junior Associates, as you will be required to agree to their conditions as part of the application process.

Applying for Affiliate PI status

Application Form (link): You will be are asked to summarise your relevant track record and to explain why you require, and how you would take advantage of having, Affiliate PI status. Your application should be self-contained; do not assume that the Selection Committee has any information beyond what you include in your application.

Nominating Junior Associates

Application Nomination Form (link): Those possessing, or applying for, Affiliate PI status may nominate make up to four postdocs and PhD nominations for Junior Associate status, for post-doctoral research associates and/ or Ph.D. students working with them for Junior Associate status. The current list of Junior Associates and their associated Affiliate PIs can be found here.
