Applications for Affiliate PI status and nominations for Junior Associate status should be made using the online application forms linked below.

Before doing so, you should read the LSST:UK Policy for Selection of Affiliate PIs and Junior Associates,which explains the selection process and the criteria that will be used by the Selection Committee. You should also read Articles 4 and 5 of the UK Memorandum of Agreement with LSST Corporation, which define the rights and responsibilities of Affiliate PIs and Junior Associates, as you will be required to agree to their conditions as part of the application process.

Guidance Notes: Those possessing, or applying for, :Under the terms of the MoA each Junior Associate must be associated with a mentor who holds Affiliate PI status. In light of that, the form may be completed in one of two ways:
- as a nomination, by the proposed mentor of the candidate JA; or
- as a self-nomination, by the candidate JA themselves.
Those possessing Affiliate PI status may make be mentor for up to four nominations for Junior Associate status, for post-doctoral research associates and/ or Ph.D. students working with themJunior Associates at one time.
