The LUSC Phase C programme
As outlined in the financial plan shared with STFC, the The Phase C programme contains will comprise four top-level Work Packages:
WP1: Management. Funding for the This covers the funded leadership and management roles - Project Leader, Project Scientist, Project Management, Commissioning Coordinator (~ 2FTE in total) - plus the UK-funded International Programme Coordinator (IPC) role, coordination of the UK contribution to commissioning and the community scientist secondment scheme to start during Phase C.
WP2: DAC. Operation of the UK Data Access Centre (5 FTE), continuing the LUSC-DAC work undertaken in Phases A and B.
WP3: DEV. Development of User-generated Products (7 FTE), plus support for EPO software development by the Zooniverse team (1 FTE).
WP4: DRP. The UK contribution to LSST Data Release Processing (5 FTE).
The allocation of the different WPs to institutions will follow a process similar to that adopted for Phase B, namely:

Proposals for funding to support commissioning work are being considered under a dedicated call process, and the community scientist secondment scheme will be launched via an open call early in Phase C.
WP2: The DAC WP was awarded to Edinburgh in competitive processes for Phases A and B, and will continue there for Phase C [TBC - alternatively, the Board could decide open bids against WP descriptions are required again, as for Phase B];
